Though there have been rumors of relationship problems between Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling, the actress had a playful reaction to her partner’s chemistry with Emily Blunt in his new movie The Fall Guy, showing how secure the long-time couple are in their relationship.
Posting to her Instagram, Eva encouraged her followers to see Ryan’s new flick with a series of stills from the movies and screenshots of reviews.
The first image showed Ryan and Emily kissing, while the rest of the photos featured reviews from people who loved the film.
The very final pic was a closeup of Ryan looking tough but sultry while in character.
“Did you know?! @thefallguymovie is the FIRST non super hero movie to open the summer box office in 17 years!” Eva wrote.
“And maybe it didn’t break the box office but it broke sooo many other records. I’m extra proud of this one,” she continued. “The proof is in my post-I don’t usually post pics of my man kissing a babe but Emily Blunt is just that damn good in it. THEY’RE that damn good in it.”
“Viva el fall guy!” Eva said, ending her post with a kiss emoji.
Ryan Gosling’s new film, The Fall Guy, is an action-packed adventure based on the classic 1980s TV series of the same name. The story follows a Hollywood stuntman who, struggling with his career, takes on a side job that unexpectedly plunges him into a real-life adventure filled with danger and intrigue.
Directed by David Leitch, the movie boasts a substantial budget of $125 million, ensuring high-octane stunts and impressive special effects. The film promises to deliver a mix of thrilling action and engaging storytelling, continuing the legacy of the beloved original series. And given that Eva has given her seal of approval, it seems even more promising.
RUMOR HAS IT RYAN WANTS TO QUIT ACTING
This may be the last Ryan Gosling movie fans get for a while, as there’s a report going around saying the actor hopes to take a break to focus on his family.
“Spending time with Eva and the kids was obviously the top priority, but he also needed a break. Ryan tends to work in big spurts, then takes time off so he can come back to the next challenge with a full tank,” a source told the National Enquirer UK.
Although Ryan has neither confirmed nor denied the rumors, Eva Mendes has openly discussed her choice to leave the spotlight after becoming a mother, expressing that she has no regrets about her decision.
“It was like a no-brainer. I’m so lucky, and I was like, if I can have this time with my children… and I still worked, I just didn’t act because acting takes you on locations, it takes you away,” she said in 2014. “It was almost just like a non-verbal agreement that it was like, ‘Okay he’s going to work and I’m going to work, I’m just going to work here.’”
Regardless of what’s next for Ryan’s career, it seems like he has a supportive partner in Eva.
